For the love of Pinterest

Pinterest is an addictive site.

Lately I've been hearing it thrown around in the paint department as ladies discuss what project they're working on next.

The other day I think a woman was actually offended because someone asked her if she got her idea from Pinterest - she somewhat huffily pointed out that it was HER. OWN. IDEA.

I'm a Pinterest addict. So I'm more than happy to tell anyone who wants to listen about the latest thing I found on Pinterest. I'm not ashamed that I didn't come up with the idea on my own. Look...I delegate things every day, so I'm certainly not about to be embarrassed over delegating someone else to come up with the great ideas!!

This was my first venture into cooking from Pinterest:

It turned out delicious and I've made it several times since then.

My favorite board on Pinterest?

I'm a smart alec. Most of these just put pictures with what I already think!

Basically if you're not on Pinterest, you should be. Not just because it's fun and addictive, but because there's a lot that can be learned on it. Ways to do your hair, meals in jars (for the upcoming Zombie Apocalypse you know...), and there's really funny stuff on it and then there's the heartwarming stuff.

Give it a shot. Just don't complain to me when it's 2:00am and you can't seem to log out and go to bed! :-)

A new start...

I confess.

When I was younger I kept a diary. I had really interesting diaries...in part because I would go weeks on end without writing anything, so that the next entry really had nothing to do with the last entry.

I've been much the same with the blog. Can I rectify it this time? Who knows...but I'm willing to give it a try this time.

I still work at the big orange box. I manage the paint department now. And the electrical department but my love is for the paint department. (No offense to my electrical guys...they know I love THEM)

Three of the four boys are in school. Jake is a junior this year and just turned 17. 17!!! Aaron started first grade and now has the dubious honor of being the next kid with glasses in the house. David began kindergarten at the same school Aaron is at and Isaac is in preschool.

Life is still crazy but I'm always looking for ways to simplify it as much as possible.

So here's to a brand new start. I deleted the other entries so as not to confuse any possible new readers. If you have ideas for stuff let me know. I'll write about just about anything...

And if I don't blog in the next couple of weeks, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
